Terms of Service

Last updated: 17 October 2026

These terms apply to the Chronaxis software, licences and this website (together, "Chronaxis"). By starting a trial, buying a subscription or using the software you agree to them. If you buy for a company, you confirm that you can accept these terms on its behalf.

1. Licence

While your subscription or trial is active, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Chronaxis on the number of computers your plan includes (one computer per licence unless agreed otherwise in writing). You may move a licence to a new computer when you replace the old one.

You may not resell, rent or sublicense the software, share licence keys, remove licence or watermark controls, or reverse engineer the software except where the law allows it.

2. Trial

The 14-day trial includes every feature. Outputs created during the trial carry a watermark and are not intended for submission. No payment details are needed to start a trial.

3. Subscriptions and payment

Plans are billed in advance, monthly, every six months or yearly, at the price shown at checkout. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders and handles payment, VAT or sales tax and invoices. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until cancelled. We will tell you before any price change takes effect, and the change applies from your next renewal.

Founder pricing applies to the first 50 paying customers and stays in place for as long as that subscription remains active without interruption.

4. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel at any time; your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.

5. Your data

Chronaxis processes your programmes, contracts and correspondence on your own computer. We do not receive or store your project files. You remain responsible for your data, its backups and for having the right to use the documents you load. The software contacts our licence server to check that the licence is valid; this check sends the licence key, a device identifier and the app version only. See our Privacy Policy.

6. Professional responsibility

Chronaxis is a tool that assists planning and claims professionals. It does not give legal or contractual advice. Analysis results depend on the quality of the programmes, records and settings you provide. You are responsible for reviewing every output, the method applied and the conclusions before submitting or relying on them.

7. Updates and support

Active subscriptions include software updates and support by email at hello@chronaxisapp.com. Features described as planned or rolling out may change in scope or timing.

8. Warranty and liability

We will make reasonable efforts to keep Chronaxis working as described. Apart from that, the software is provided "as is" to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or the outcome of any claim, dispute or contractual decision, and our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Suspension

We may suspend a licence that is used in breach of these terms, for example shared keys or unpaid subscriptions, after telling you and giving you a reasonable chance to fix the issue where possible.

10. Changes and law

We may update these terms; we will post the new version here with its date and tell active subscribers about material changes. These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates.
